APPLICATION PROCEDURES FOR HORIZONTAL TRANSITION TO OUR INSTITUTE UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS FOR THOSE WHO REGISTER TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION WHERE THEY LEFT BY USE OF THE AMNESTY LAW Nr. 7417

1. Among the students who registered under the scope of amnesty, those whose central placement score (ÖSYS/YKS/DGS) in the year they first registered to the higher education institution they left is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program they want to apply for in the same year, can apply for lateral transfer.
2. If the student is not admitted to the program that he/she wants to transfer to our Institute in the year he/she first registered to the higher education institution he/she left with the central placement score (ÖSYS/YKS/DGS), the student’s transfer application to that program will not be evaluated
3. Under the Amnesty, applications for lateral transfer to undergraduate programs can only be made for the Fall or Spring semesters of the 2022-2023 Academic Year.
4. Applications for transfer to undergraduate programs for the 2022-2023 Academic Year can be made no later than September 9, 2022 for the Fall Semester, and December 30, 2022 for the Spring Semester, at the latest.
5. The applications of those who do not meet at least one of the English foreign language exemption requirements will not be evaluated, as those who apply for lateral transfer to the undergraduate programs of our Institute must meet the conditions for exemption from the preparatory class in the IZTECH School of Foreign Languages Department of Basic English Preparatory Class Regulations or they must be successful in the English Proficiency Exam.
6. The English Placement Exam for those who applied for the 2022-2023 Academic Year Fall Semester will be on 13 September 2022 (1st Stage) and 16 September 2022 (2nd Stage); The English Placement Exam for those who apply for the Spring Semester will be held on January 26, 2023. Detailed announcement about the exam will be published on the website of the School of Foreign Languages (ydyo.iyte.edu.tr).

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

1. Approved or obtained from e-government student certificate
2. Approved or transcript from E-Government
3. A certified copy of the education plan to which the student is subject and a certified copy of the course content of the courses included in the student’s transcript only. (In case these documents cannot be obtained as approved, the printout of the training plan and course content published on the university’s website will be accepted, and the website address from which the printouts were taken should also be written on the printout.) (For students who have only studied in the English preparatory class and have not yet started the program, these documents are not required to be submitted.)
4. OSYM score results document and placement result document
5. If applicable, the English proficiency document(s) listed below must be submitted:
6. a) A document showing that the department he/she is studying is 100% English, and a document showing that he/she is exempt from the English preparatory class / has successfully completed the English preparatory class

  b) If the validity period is not specified on the exam document from the language exams whose equivalence is accepted by the Council of Higher Education, the exam result documents specified below, provided that they are not older than 5 years.

TOEFL (IBT): 84 and above

PTE (Academic) : 71 and above

YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL/e-YÖKDİL: 70 and above

CPE: C and above

CAE: B and above

 c) Students who do not have any of the above-mentioned English proficiency documents or whose exemption is deemed appropriate are required to take the English exemption exam to be held by the School of Foreign Languages of our Institute.
